What is BOTOX®, Dysport, or Xeomin Cosmetic?

Get Happier By Reducing Frown Lines
BOTOX®, Dysport, and Xeomin Cosmetic is a simple, nonsurgical, physician-administered aesthetic treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines. It's easy to see why more and more people are looking to Botox, Dysport and Xeomin to help them get the noticeable results they want. These simple, non-surgical treatments improve the look of frown lines in just a few minutes with virtually no pain. With just a few simple injections directly into the muscles between your eyebrows, frown lines are temporarily reduced. Best of all, there's no surgery, and that means there's no missed time away from friends, family or work.

One 10-minute treatment -- a few tiny injections -- and within days there's a noticeable improvement in moderate to severe frown lines between the brows, which can last up to 4 months. And there's no recovery time -- you can even do it on your lunch break!

The procedure is very simple. Dr. Greenberg will administer several tiny injections of BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport, or Xeomin directly into the muscles that cause those moderate to severe from lines between the brows. No anesthesia is required, although your aesthetician may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream prior to injecting. Discomfort is usually minimal and brief.

How Does BOTOX®, Dysport, or Xeomin Cosmetic work?
The lines that appear between your brows (glabellar lines) actually result from muscle movement and the passage of time. You may have heard the expression "wearing your emotions on your sleeve," but in reality you wear them on your face. If you're angry or annoyed, for example, you knit your brows together. Underneath your skin, your facial muscles contract, cause a pleating of the overlying skin, and then, as anyone can see, you're frowning.

After years of crinkling and wrinkling, those glabellar lines start to linger longer and can become more pronounced. For women, whose faces tend to be more animated than men's, and whose skin is typically more delicate, these lines may appear exaggerated and more permanent.

Fortunately, there is a way to temporarily reduce moderate to severe glabellar lines. Treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport, or Xeomin can visibly smooth and soften moderate to severe frown lines between your brows. An improvement can be seen within days and may last up to 3-6 months, although results may vary.

Will I still look the same and be able to make facial expressions?
You can still frown or look surprised, and with BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport, or Xeomin you can do it without the wrinkles and creases between your brows. While the results are noticeable, a treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport, or Xeomin will not significantly alter your facial expressions. The muscle activity that causes frown lines in the brow area is temporarily reduced, but still functions normally.

Excess Perspiration? No Sweat!
How does Botox work to reduce underarm sweating?
The same treatment that reduces your frown lines can also help reduce severe underarm sweating. Formally known as hyperhidrosis, excessive underarm sweat is embarrassing and uncomfortable. Sublime can help to improve this condition using Botox. It temporarily blocks the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. When the glands no longer receive the signals, the sweating stops in the treated areas. Your body will continue to produce sweat normally in other areas. With just a few injections into the affected underarm area, Botox can minimize severe underarm sweating for as long as six months.
